Hi, poetry lovers!

A new year dawns, and with it, a new poetry goal.

My 2023 goal was to get a residency or fellowship. While I was a finalist in the residency I was most interested in, I was not awarded a residency or fellowship. I’ll continue applying, but I did spend a lot on application fees last year, so I’m limiting myself to ones with no application fee or up to $15 application fee (+ maybe the one I was a finalist for).

My 2024 poetry goal: Publish at least ONE poetry book!

It will likely be my Twin Peaks-inspired collection because it’s the furthest along.

I haven’t published a book since 2021 because I wanted to focus on improving my writing, submitting, and applying to residencies. Now I’m itching to get more books out there!

What are your creative goals for 2024?
